When the crops are mature and can yield the highest quality oil, the distillation process occurs. Some plants need one to several days to cure before distillation, which is critical; otherwise, many constituents will be lost and the oil quality will be poor and unacceptable. When ready, a low-temperature, low pressure, steam distillation process occurs to ensure that the beneficial plant compounds within the oil remain compromised during the extraction process. After distillation, the oil is accurately analyzed in the laboratory to determine its quality before it is sent to the bottling facility.
The oils must pass stringent testing to ensure that the optimal bio-active compounds are present. The oil is tested during various stages of distillation to determine the release of different plant constituents. Then the oil is bottled and sealed in a high-tech, state-of-the-art production facility, and then it is finally ready for shipping.
